The idea first came to me in the last memory that marked a close to a relationship. It’s the moment in the living room where everything is quiet, except for your breath, listening to your dad’s record collection and watching frost start to build against the window. This piece, heavily influenced by Sigur Rós, the glittering sweeps of prepared piano harmonics paired with warm, rich, and muted tones of electronics, create a feeling of intensifying longing subdued by melancholy, examines beauty as the act of noticing something as it is leaving, before it is gone.
